About the yatra

The Kanchi Yatra is a week of pilgrimage through the holy places of South India's Sri Vaishnava tradition. We stay together in Kanchipuram and travel each day to the divya desams, the temples glorified by the Alvars in their songs.

At every temple we take darshan and hear the sthala purana, the story of that place. Mornings open with a Bhagavatam class and evenings close with kirtan. The week ends with a Sudarshana Maha Yajna and a closing kirtan together.

Nilambara Das (Dr. Raj Hegde) will take us on this yatra, and every day will be spiritually enlivening with his lectures and kirtans.
